Objectives of IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), as guided by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), is established with the following objectives:
- To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture
- To develop and apply quality benchmarks in academic and administrative activities
- To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education
- To encourage the adoption of innovative teaching-learning methods and use of ICT
- To promote research culture, consultancy, and extension activities
- To ensure coordination among various activities of the institution and institutionalize best practices
Functions of IQAC
The IQAC performs the following key functions to ensure continuous quality improvement:
- Development and application of quality parameters for various academic and administrative activities
- Organization of workshops, seminars, and quality-related programs
- Collection and analysis of feedback from students, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders
- Documentation of institutional activities and preparation of reports such as the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR)
- Acting as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related initiatives within the institution
- Promotion of research, innovation, and best practices
- Conducting academic and administrative audits
- Ensuring timely submission of data and reports to accrediting bodies
- Facilitating a culture of continuous improvement and institutional excellence
