Research and Publication

The college benefits greatly from the establishment of research activities as well as the promotion of research projects and publications. Teachers who conduct research can incorporate what they have learned from it into the classroom by pushing students to approach basic issues and problems in the same way that researchers do. Students report being more engaged in their studies and feeling more confident in their teachers in such an environment. Creating a research culture shows high goals and a strong commitment to the college's mission, which enhances the educational experience for everyone, not just students. Superior teachers and students are drawn to the college as a result of research's enhancement of its reputation. Research initiatives create opportunities for regional, national, and international cooperation. These ties enhance the reputation of college and generate a variety of career prospects, including partnerships with corporate entities that are becoming a more significant partner in higher education initiatives. These are but a handful of the advantages of starting, sustaining, and growing a research program at the college level in higher education.

Faculties and students of Government Women’s College, Balangir are actively participating in research activities and bringing a good number of publications in the form of books, book chapters, research articles and conference proceedings every year in reputed peer reviewed and UGC listed Journals.
