About the Department:
Sanskrit Department is one of the oldest department offering both UG and PG courses with sanction strength of 40 and 32 respectively.
Vision:
To preserve, promote, and innovate the study of Sanskrit language and literature, fostering a deep appreciation for its cultural and historical significance while advancing scholarly research and interdisciplinary applications
Mission:
- To provide comprehensive education in Sanskrit language, literature, and philosophy;
- to conduct rigorous research and scholarship;
- to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations;
- to cultivate an understanding of Sanskrit's relevance in contemporary contexts, thereby contributing to the preservation and revitalization of this classical language.
